Our chief instructor is Sensei Scott Dingman, 8th Dan (degree) black belt.  Sensei Dingman began his karate training in 1968.  He received his training under Sensei Yutaka Yaguchi, 9th Dan.  Sensei Dingman is the Technical Director for the North Central Region, which includes: Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa and Nebraska.  Sensei Dingman is certified by the ISKF (International Shotokan Karate Federation) as an instructor, judge and examiner.  
Sensei Dingman is also a retired public school teacher.  He relates well to people of all ages and backgrounds.  Sensei Dingman is assisted by qualified senior students who teach his methods and principles.

Benita Dingman is the instructor for the children's classes for Voyageur Shotokan Karate.   Benita began her karate training in 1982, and currently holds the rank of 6th Dan (degree) black belt.  She is certified by the ISKF (International Shotokan Karate Federation) as a judge.  She has trained extensively with Sensei Yaguchi, 9th Dan.
